Councillor Mrs Marion Brighton OBE, Leader of North Kesteven District Council, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the wealth of history within our beautiful district.
“We are so fortunate to have places such as Navigation House and Cogglesford Mill in NK, which tell a story of the history of the area.

It will also one of the final chances to see Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre’s display detailing 100 years of Aviation at Cranwell. From Balloons to Jets: Discover the History of RAF Cranwell on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Free refreshments will also be available and children can pit their wits against their cunning trail!

A series of NK Wellbeing Days will be encouraging people of all ages to be active, get creative and feel inspired this summer! The next activity day in the series will take place in Washingborough on Friday 19th August 12 – 4pm.
The events are part of a series organised by the Partnership NK Our Communities Group working with 1Life which as well as offering activities for all ages also provide information and advice from a range of local community groups and organisations about services on offer in the area. The events that have taken place so far this year in Metheringham, North Hykeham, Billinghay and Cranwell have proved very popular with people of all ages.

Entries cost £18 per person for the 26 mile run/walk and £15 per person for the 13 mile run/walk. Participants must be 16 years and over to enter the 26 mile run, however anyone aged 14-15 years may enter the 26 mile walk or 13 mile walk / run but must be accompanied by an adult.
