Join CountrysideNK this month as they will be teaming up with the North Kesteven Walking Festival to raise awareness of their Stepping Out walks available across the district.
To encourage their use, CountrysdeNK are hosting a number of walks throughout the two week festival for all ages.
Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended.
We’re going on a Bear Hunt! Sunday 9 July, 10.30am We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re going to catch a big one, we’re not scared! Join us for a family fun trail around Millennium Green, see if you can spot all the teddy bears hiding, and then join us for a teddy bears picnic overlooking the lakes. BYO picnic and favourite teddy bear. Meeting at: Millennium Green, off Station Road, North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6 9FF Walk Length: 1 mile (allow 2 hours)
Dog Behaviour and Agility Walks Friday 14 July, 2.30pm It doesn’t matter how old your dog is or what your experience or training level is, you’ll be sure to learn something new! A great way to socialise for both dogs and walkers as well as a chance to learn some new skills for you and your four legged friend. Meeting at: Bloxholm Stepping Out Car Park, Peacock Lodge, Bloxholm, LN4 3JJ. Walk length: 3.4 miles. Allow 2 hours.
Evening Bat Hunt Friday 21 July, 9pm for a 9.30pm start Join Hill Holt Wood’s Head Ranger, Ben Wilson on an evening bat walk through the woods at Hill Holt. Bat detectors in hand, listen out for their unique ‘echolocation’ calls and learn how to identify the species. Perfect for the whole family. Meeting at: Hill Holt Wood, Norton Disney, LN6 9JP Walk length: 1.5 miles. Allow 1 hour.
NEW Stepping Out Walk! Join us as we try the NEW stepping Out Walk in Heckington on Tuesday 18 July. Walk length: 6.1 miles (allow 2.5 hours). Meeting at: the Nags Head Inn, 34 High Street, Heckington, NG34 9QZ
