Each month a dementia hub takes place in Metheringham for people living with dementia and their carers.
The activity hub which takes place on the second Tuesday of the month and is designed to offer stimulating activities for those living with dementia as well as offering the opportunity for carers to socialise and share information. Activities include painting, gardening and games such as new age kurling. Everyone is welcome including carers, family members and friends.
The hub currently attracts over 25 people each month which takes place St Wilfrids Church Hall in Metheringham.
“The activity hub is going really well.” Says Health & Wellbeing Manager Carly Togher. “It’s nice to see people return each month and enjoy the different activities we’re able to offer.”
“We’re always looking for new members to join the group, so if you know anyone who might be interested please get in touch. It’s free to attend and have a variety of different activities on offer as well as refreshments.”
The next activity hub will take place on Tuesday 8 November from 10am to 12pm at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, 24 Church Lane, Metheringham, LN4 3HA. Parking is available at the Star and Garter pub on Princes Street, LN4 3BX and is just a short walk to the church hall.
