‘Around 5 years ago, NEON began as a vehicle to deliver fantastical art, architecture and design projects that would elevate the everyday life of a place. For us, there is a sense of irony that we would present a retrospective of our practice in a gallery, given that most of our projects take art out of this space! That said; we are excited about this exhibition as it has allowed us to take stock of our accomplishments as a practice and consider what the next 5 years might look like’. Commissioned by the Canal &River Trust as part of “The Ring” arts programme for the river festival in Worcester (June 2018), The Weorgoran Pavilion is showcased as a film piece for NCCD. Over 100,000 sequins that respond to the environment create a 'water like' appearance and shimmering spectacle.
