Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 Dec 2017, 10am to 4pm Then National Centre for Craft and Design's contemporary Christmas market returns this December kicking off an exciting programme of seasonal activities. Following on from the success last year, they open their doors for a two-day event and what promises to be the best Gifted yet. For those who are new to Gifted, it’s a weekend of high-quality craft, live music, entertainment, family workshops, demonstrations, and local specialist produce. The event offers the perfect shopping opportunity for unique hand-made gifts and food, as well as plenty of live entertainment and festive fun for the whole family. During this special advent weekend, specialist local food from the region and makers from across the UK will descend on Sleaford for the biggest Gifted Contemporary Christmas Market ever. This year they’ll be hosting FREE exciting and educational workshops aimed at families. Activities include; learning how to create forced perspective images, exploring the building through a Christmas craft trail, making your very own festive ornament using a 3D printing pen and visitors will also get the opportunity to make their own personalised handcrafted gift using decals to decorate ceramic crockery!
Visitors who feel inspired by the FREE Gifted workshops and exhibitions are also invited to join We Are Saved By Loss artist Naseem Darbey on Sat 16 Dec, 10am-4pm, for a fabric manipulation workshop which includes creating ‘Hollow Drawings’ that Naseem has become synonymous with. Since its inception, Gifted has grown into a landmark event attracting over 5000 shoppers and visitors in 2016 from far and wide. At NCCD, they pride themselves in providing the highest standard of craft and food makers to ensure a unique Christmas shopping experience. NCCD are proud to be working in partnership with Design Factory and Design-Nation to present our largest ever market in 2017. Gifted 17 will take over Navigation Wharf in Sleaford over the weekend of Sat 9 and Sun 10 Dec from 10am to 4pm both days.
