Starting on Saturday 8 July, the North Kesteven Walking Festival will return this year bigger and better with 2 weeks of walks for all ages and abilities. Now a well established event, the North Kesteven Walking Festival is designed to showcase the walking opportunities across the district, not to mention the breathtaking scenery and fascinating places to visit that’s right your doorstep.
Last year’s festival saw their best numbers yet with a variety of walks including herb walks and history walks; not to mention their most popular walk of all, the Whisby Curry Night hosted by the Boardwalk Bistro.
The events team are working hard to bring the programme together and already 28 walks are confirmed for this year! The festival programme will also run alongside the successful health walks programme that currently runs across the district. Walks include guided herb walks, dog agility walks as well as a variety of long distance walks. There will also be a walk at Whisby Nature Park followed by a Pie & Pea supper in the Boardwalk Bistro. There are plenty of walks to get involved in and with daytime and evening walks on offer, you’re bound to find something for you!
“We’re really looking forward to this year’s festival!” says festival organiser, Jade Oliver. “We had the best numbers so far last year and the support we received was just great. We have some great walks planned for this July and look forward to sharing more experiences raising awareness of what North Kesteven has to offer.”
The full programme of events is expected at the end of the month. You can be notified as soon as its ready by joining the walking festival mailing list - please contact Jade Oliver at email@example.com or call 01522 694353.
